CHALLENGE

A litigation funder retained Praetorian to support enforcement of a London arbitral award against a respondent who had restructured assets into Cayman-domiciled trusts and a Singapore-registered family office. Prior attempts at enforcement had failed to penetrate the trust structure.

METHODOLOGY

The firm conducted structural analysis of the Cayman trust instruments, identified discretionary beneficiary arrangements that preserved effective control, and mapped capital flows between the trust, the Singapore entity, and underlying operating assets. Licensed counsel in each jurisdiction were coordinated to ensure that enforcement applications addressed the specific structural vulnerabilities identified.

OUTCOME

Recognition of the award obtained in Singapore. Cayman court ordered disclosure of trust assets. Settlement reached at approximately 78% of award value within five months of instruction.

Praetorian Global is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The firm coordinates with licensed counsel in the relevant jurisdiction; all legal proceedings are conducted by those counsel. Praetorian structures and coordinates enforcement and crisis strategy at the mandate level.
