CHALLENGE

A family office identified fiduciary breach by a long-serving investment manager who had directed capital into related-party transactions through Bahamian entities and Dubai-registered companies. The matter required both crisis containment to protect remaining assets and enforcement action to recover diverted capital.

METHODOLOGY

Praetorian engaged simultaneously on crisis architecture and capital recovery. The crisis mandate stabilised the family office's remaining portfolio and contained disclosure risk. The capital recovery mandate traced diverted funds, deconstructed the related-party structure, and prepared enforcement packages. Both mandates were coordinated through a single strategic framework to ensure no action on one front created exposure on the other.

OUTCOME

Remaining portfolio preserved. Freezing relief obtained in UAE and Bahamas. Recovery of approximately USD 47m achieved through negotiated settlement, coordinated by instructing counsel.
